 All About Anna

I was living the fast-paced  Manhattan life, working in finance and burning the candle on both ends. Looking for a new adventure, I booked a bike tour with friends to explore the vineyards of Tuscany. Fatefully, we landed in Italy on September 10, 2001 and experienced 9/11 through the gracious hearts of another country. My gratitude for the warmth of that experience has never faded. Nor has my love of wine.

I’ve always described my impression of life in Tuscany as simple, but rich. They have always practiced the concept of farm to table, long before it became cool. Pairing fresh food with good wine, made even better with friends and family, all woven into their everyday lives. And I was hooked.

My priorities changed on that trip, I realized I no longer wanted to live to exist. I wanted to live doing the things I loved, weaving my own passion for food and wine deeper into my life.

I moved back to the Chicago area to be near family and with my best friend, opened a wine and cheese shop called Wine and Cheese by TCC (Two Clueless Chicks). We dove head first into becoming lifelong foodies/winos, visiting wine and cheesemakers all over the world, getting to know their philosophies and witnessing their craft first-hand. I continued my education at the Chicago Wine School and the Culinary Institute of America in St Helena, CA, all while striving to help others become, well, a bit less clueless in their own wine and food adventures.

After 15 years, thousands of tastings and food & wine events, I felt another shift. Thanks to an amazing group of customers turned good friends (who I lovingly refer to as The Kids Table), I realized the experience of bringing a new experience to people is really my favorite part of wine. So, we sold the shop and I'm embarking on new adventures and I look forward to sharing my passions with you. Come join me at the Kids Table, where there’s always room for more friends!
